Chinese Movie Culture City
The Chinese Movie Culture City is located in Taipei City's Shihlin District. It is near Yangmingshan National Park and the National Palace Museum. The Chinese Movie Culture City is a giant movie set where all the streets and buildings were built to resemble a traditional Chinese city using authentic Chinese architecture. You can walk through the ancient shops, inns, and the imposing mansions of kings and generals. You can also visit the World of Fantasy, the Cave of Terror, the Hall of Dinosaurs, the Hall of Waxworks, the Panoramic Screen Movie Theater and the Action Movie Theater. You may even have the chance to see some filming if you are lucky.
The Taipei Zoo
The Taipei zoo is over a hundred years old and one of the top tourist attractions in the city. Take the MRT directly to the entrance and bypass the traffic. It has spacious enclosures and features hundreds of exhibits. There is a lot to see, so wear a comfortable pair of shoes. There are plenty of food outlets so don't worry about lunch. Try to avoid going on weekends unless you enjoy huge crowds.
