If you are a philatelist, this six story building located near the Chang-Kai shek Memorial is another must-see attraction. It houses over 80,000 stamps from all over the world, though most of the displays are pre 1970. The gift shop sells a variety of stamps and curios.
Its square shape and abstract sculptures out front make the Taipei Fine Arts Museum easy to identify. This is the first and only museum in Taipei to showcase modern art. It consists of 24 galleries and is larger than the National Palace Museum in terms of interior space. The art exhibits, which include the work of international and Taiwanese artists, change every few months. |
